Day 1 Moab Road Trip:
While staying overnight at my brothers in Grand Junction before heading on to Moab, he recommended we take a day-trip to a little know resort tucked deep in the canyons of the western slope. The place is the Gateway Canyons Resort on hwy 141 just 60 miles south west of Grand Junction Colorado. Once we arrived, I soon realized the awesomeness of the resort and its adjacent classic car museum.
To give a brief explanation; The Gateway Canyons Resort is owned and developed by the legendary John Hendricks (Founder of the Discovery Channel and Hendricks Motorsports). The resort also boasts an awe inspiring classic car museum filled with over 40 fully restored or original condition automobiles. In the collection just to name a few are a 1906 Cadillacs Model H Coupe, Ford Model A, 57 Chevy Bel-Air, 1920 Roadster, Chip Foose 2006 Ford Mustang Stallion and the rarest of all, 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 Concept Car which was acquired during the Barrett Jackson auto action for $3.24 Million dollars. This car is THE most prized car in the entire collection and is on display in its own room to highlight all its glory and brilliance. Shown Below are but a few photos taken at the museum along with a couple of the local terrain.
SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN... the best is yet to come!

| Incredible waterfall we almost passed by. |

| This picture does not accurately describe the shear volume of water rushing out. |
If you are ever in the southwestern side of Colorado in or around the Grand Junction area, I highly recommend you take a short detour and visit this beautiful resort and don't forget to stop by the one-of-a- kind car museum. You will not be disappointed. We all have John Hendricks to thank for that.
Have you been to any museums you never knew existed? Do you have a favorite museum you like to visit often? Let me know, I would love to hear your stories.
Until next day/post.
Safe Travels everyone........
